Our Commitment to Our Grantee Partners - COVID-19

19 March 2020

Dear friends,

In this time of uncertainty, we remain committed to listening to and supporting the leadership of our partners as they craft strategies to respond to the current moment, and continue with their long-standing work to build power and equity for the most vulnerable and marginalized globally.

We are aware that this global crisis will manifest differently in different contexts, and therefore requires a diversity of responses. We know that groups are adjusting the way they are working to prioritize the health and well-being of their communities, and we are prepared to make accommodations to support this process. This includes making deadline extensions for deliverables or proposals, budget adjustments, or changes to reporting. We also encourage you to let us know what additional needs you have at this time. Please reach out to your program contact on any of these matters.

Also, in alignment with the Office of the Mayor of New York City, Foundation for a Just Society staff will work from home until further notice to ensure the safety of our staff. While we navigate the transition to working remotely, our work continues. We have plans in place to ensure minimal disruption to our grantmaking and operations.

We stand committed to our grantee partners and ready to respond and adapt to movement needs.

In hope and solidarity,

Nicky McIntyre
